We are Bay Area based middle school kids, who are passionate about robotics. We recently competed in VEX Robotics, the world's largest robotics competition as two rookie sister teams (59200A & 59200F). With the latest victory, in the vex states/regional tournament that happened on March 11, 2023, our teams officially advanced to the VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas which will happen in the last week of April. We are very excited and fortunate to be among the 16 teams from California Region 2 to be representing our state.
To be more independent, we are collecting funds to be able to participate in this tournament. We would like to request your support in the form of donations, which will help us buy advanced parts and make our Robots more optimized to compete in the World Championship tournament. Our initial fundraising goal is approximately $5000.
Please find the breakdown of our expenses below:
World Championship Registration fee: $1200
Additional Robot parts: ~ $1500
Robot shipping expenses: ~$500
Travel and Lodging expenses: ~$2000
We started our season last October and are doing well. A few of the awards that we have won so far are:
59200A Awards:
- Robot Skills Champion Award
- Judges Award
- Standing sixth in California region - 2
59200F Awards:
- Think Award
- Tournament Finalist
- Standing eighth in California region - 2
Any excess amount collected will be donated to the Humane Society.
