WHO
We are a group of five students in 6th and 8th grade that created the Metal Gear SD Robotic team. This year, we won the Engineering Design Award on February at the regional competition. On March, by winning the STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) Reward at the state competition, we qualified for the final, the World Championship.
WHERE
April 23 to 26 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky
WHAT
These motivated students of design are looking for financial support for them to continue their adventure. Any size donation would be appreciated. In the meantime they will be working hard on other local fundraising activities as they shoot towards their goal of bringing the World Championship to San Diego!
THE COMPETITION
The VEX Robotics World Championship is a gathering of robotics teams from around the world, celebrating their accomplishments and competing with and against the best of the best. The 2017 VEX Robotics World Championship will take place from April 23 to 26 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky, and will include top teams from over 400 VEX Robotics tournaments happening in cities all around the world.
THE GOAL: $6,000
We are extremely excited for this tremendous opportunity! However, we are asking for your help to cover the event registration fees, the robot parts and travel expenses. Any contributions are greatly appreciated!
