VetMerge Summer 2019 Missions Trip - Ojo Encino
Hello everyone!
This summer, a team of veterinary students from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, led by UC Davis alumna Dr. Lorraine Beaumont will head to Ojo Encino, a chapter of the Navajo Nation in New Mexico, to run a free, 2-week pop-up veterinary clinic in the reservation.
Working under VetMerge, a Christian veterinary missions organization founded by Dr. Beaumont, our team will partner with a local church to share the love of Christ and the good news of the gospel while providing veterinary preventative care, surgery, and education to an under-served community, at no cost.
In order to ensure food, housing, and transportation for all the team members, as well as offset the cost of medical supplies, we are asking $575 of support per volunteer. All contributions, however small, will go toward ensuring quality service for the pets and livestock of the local Navajo people.
We also covet your prayers for this trip, as we seek to help the church build relationships and make an impact in the community.
Thank you so much,
Humphrey, Kelly, Stephanie, Erik, Logan, Esther, Annika, Krista, Lorraine, and Sojeong
