I'm Leigh, a mom, grandma, and retired accountant from Alberta, Canada. Gallagher is my 13-year-old cat, who I love. He loves afternoon naps and drinking out of my water glass. A year ago he started showing signs of soreness and stiffness in his spine, but lately it's gotten much worse. He's walking stiffly and uncomfortably and missing his usual zest for life. I want to take him into the vet and get him looked at.
$800 is the estimated cost of a vet visit, exam, and X-ray to see what's going on. Then the vet and I can talk about potential courses of treatment. I want to have as much time with him as I can, but I also want to make sure I prioritize his quality of life.
I'm living on a fixed income, so having financial support with Gally makes a big difference to the kind of care I can get for him. I will keep this campaign updated, in case there's a potential treatment for him that's more than I could afford on my own.
