There are a few different types of people in this world. Those who constantly seek to find ways to help other people, people who need help and people who connect those who need help and those who can give help. Then there are those who don't fit into any of those
categories but they care, they pray and they offer encouragement. My good friend Brad McKee is a Marine who has dedicated his life to helping other Veterans and their families when a need arises.
He founded The Disposable Heroes Project in order to do more than just one person can do alone.
Now, we get to help him.
Almost 4 years ago he got a pet - his life companion. "Pistol" is a Doberman who loves Brad immensely. You might not be aware but dogs are hugely important to our Veterans. They provide a love, companionship and compassion that Veterans so deeply need. Pistol is just that to my friend Brad. He has become a very important part of Brad's life. You can see from the photos how much these two love one another.
Pistol is still young - just a 3 year old. He has a lot of life left to live.
The problem:
A few days ago Pistol was playing - running around in the yard chasing a toy and he tore the ACL in his right leg. Then the next day he was just going to "do his business" and with the one already weak leg it put extra pressure on his other leg and he ended up tearing the second ACL.
This is resulting in some very expensive Veterinary medical expenses. Pistol has to have surgery to repair these and the cost is $5,000. This is an unexpected cost and I would love to invite our community, Brad's family and friends to rally around him and help in any possible way.
In his current state, Pistol will only stand when he needs to potty.
Can you help? Anything counts! Make any donation you can to help. If you can't make a financial donation, offer your words of encouragement, love, prayers and share this with others.

Thank you for reading! We need to step up when we can and this is a great way to help someone else who helps others - all the time.
