I am asking for people to come together and help out a veteran that had a mudslide hit his home on February 7th.  He and his family spent the night at a friend's house but will move to a hotel.

I am hoping to raise money to help with his living expenses while they are waiting on the results of the insurance investigation.  I honestly do not know if a home can be insured against mudslides.   So there may be a bad ending to this story and that is the veteran's insurance may not cover this event.  In which case he will be on the hook for all the expenses.  I personally will be up there helping him in anyway that I can if this happens.  Until he has an answer from the insurance company, his living arrangements are all out of pocket.  Plus his mortgage and other household bills must continue to be paid.

I am putting an amoutn of $20,000 to be raised but honestly this will be a drop in the bucket.  If we are fortunate enough to raise the $20,000, please do not stop there.  Let us keep going past this amount.
