In August myself, Bec, Ash, Jordan, my mum and Jay will be doing the three peaks challenge. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft) - The total driving distance for us is 989 miles. Our aim is to do it in 24 hours starting from the bottom of Ben Nevis and finishing at the bottom of Snowdon.
* Snowdon, in Wales (1085m)
* Scafell Pike, in England (978m)
* Ben Nevis, in Scotland (1345m

We would like to do it to raise money for Veterans care. Veterans Care Association was set up to support returning veterans and their families to overcome Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other challenges in returning to civilian life. They provide veteran-led, holistic health and well-being education, advocacy services to the veteran community, and facilitates veteran-led social restorative justice activities in Australia. All Money raised will be sent to them.

As some of you may know, last year, after many years of searching my sister and her brother finally found each other again. Bec was only a few months old the last time she saw Mike, he was working in the military and was based in Berlin, they lost touch after their dad, John, who also served 12 years in the Royal Navy, tragically passed away. It took 30 years for them to reunite. Throughout those 30 years Mike served 5 years in the British Army and 12.5 in the Royal Australian Airforce before having to retire for medical reasons. He's done tours in Afghan and the middle east and risked his life to save others. The reason we have chosen to raise money for this Australian charity is because over the 30 years we have not been able to support Mike, charities like this have, and we will forever be grateful knowing that he had much needed support after everything he has been through.

The statistics around PTSD are extremely frightening!

Let's give these Heros the support they deserve! We are extremely blessed that our brother is home❤️

We understand times are hard and people don't have a lot to give but anything is very much appreciated!
