Mission, Vision & Values

At Operation Revamp we believe art heals hidden wounds and our mission is to provide art and related opportunity to aid in healing mental health issues for Veterans, military family members and others suffering from trauma related mental injuries, in functional creative art studios; to raise awareness of psychological scarring and benefits of artistic practices in healing; and to provide resources for those suffering from the hidden wounds of trauma in partnership with other agencies and non-profits.

Our History

Local artist and Blue Star Mother Wendy Hoffman founded operation Revamp in 2010. Having experienced the therapeutic benefits of art firsthand, Hoffman envisioned a space where veterans and family members could find healing and personal growth through creative expression. She recognized that art could serve as a means of communication for veterans dealing with physical and emotional wounds, as well as a way to connect with a supportive community.

Operation Revamp continued to expand its offerings and impact, and in 2013 the organization opened the Veterans Art Center. This change reflected the broader mission of the organization - not only to provide therapeutic art experiences but also to establish a hub where veterans could develop their artistic skills, show-case their creations, and engage with the local community.

Who We Help

We provide services to veterans and their families at the Veterans Art Center, and believe that art can be a powerful tool for healing, self-expression, and personal growth. Our purpose is to provide a nurturing and inclusive space where veterans can explore their creativity, find solace, and connect with fellow veterans who understand their unique journey.
