Veteran, Husband, and Father, Leigh Talavera

Hi, my name is Caroline Chase and I am here to help Leigh Talavera who is a 52 year old husband, father, and veteran who is suffering from multiple health issues that cannot be treated for the long-term. He has lost both legs below the knees due to diabetes, has Congestive Heart Failure, inoperable gall stones, and requires thrice weekly dialysis. The hospital sent him home with a terminal prognosis right after Christmas. He and his wife, Becca, are parents to five kids. Becca lost her job right before Leigh went to the hospital. This has allowed her to be by Leigh’s bedside 24 hours a day, but has had a devastating impact on their financial situation.
