Veteran father needs help with a new vehicle.

July 2023 our vehicle was hit by a lightning strike that hit our vehicle and the back fence of our community. After making an insurance claim to get repairs, we were Saldly informed that our vehicle would be a total loss. On one positive note we are not left with anything to pay on the vehicle but we are not getting a replacement. We currently do not have the money saved to pay for a down payment. We also do not have great credit as we been struggling to repair our credit. Do to inflation and recession not only were we feeling the effects of increased prices on food and fuel but also our rent has increased by a whole $1,000 more a month, our lifestyle and needs have undergone significant adjustments. However, not having a vehicle has become an enormous burden. Although not having a vehicle payment initially seemed like money saved, we now find ourselves having to spend on scooters, Ubers, Lyft rides, and rentals just to take care of our daily tasks. Consequently, any leftover money is being allocated towards credit repair. Our immediate priority is to gather enough funds for a down payment and cover all other associated costs, so we can swiftly secure a vehicle. Without a vehicle, our ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner is severely limited. As a family of six, we have numerous daily obligations. Regrettably, I am unable to commute to the therapies and treatments being offered to me, and we are also unable to attend any veteran family events until we have reliable transportation. Emotionally, this situation has been incredibly challenging for both my wife and me. It feels as though we have lost a vital part of our family. We kindly request you to share our story, offer your prayers, and send positive energy our way as we work towards rebuilding our family from this difficult situation.
