A Veteran Who Has Spent Her Life Saving Others Has Lost Everything — Please Help This Family Rebuild

We are reaching out with heavy hearts for a dear family in Indiana whose world was shattered in a single night.

Kathy is a U.S. veteran who has already given so much — first through her service to our country, and then through the selfless work she does every day rescuing animals and offering healing through her nonprofit. Together with her husband, Jason, and their children, Kylenn and Jonathan, they have built a home and a sanctuary where broken animals were given another chance, where children and adults found comfort, and where love and purpose lived in every stall, every pasture, and every rescued life.

But in the early morning hours on November 18, 2025 everything changed.

A sudden, devastating fire tore through their barn — the heart of their rescue and the center of their family’s daily work.

Within minutes, the building, supplies, and essential equipment were gone.

And with unbearable heartbreak, they lost one of their beloved rescue donkeys who didn’t make it out in time.

Kathy and her family stood together watching the place they poured their souls into burn to the ground.

No backup plan.

Just ashes where their dream once stood.

Yet even through their grief, this family is determined to rebuild. That’s who they are — fighters, caregivers, people who refuse to give up on the animals and community that depend on them.

But right now… they can’t do it alone.
