Hello, my name is Amy and I’m raising money for street cats in Balsall Heath Birmingham. We have many stray and feral cats in the area and have been working over the past 10 years to treat, neuter and rehome as many as possible. My neighbour and I have two colonies of neutered cats who have regular food care and shelter. Unfortunately due to stray tomcats in the area there is a lot of fighting. Achaar is suffering from a puncture wound to his tail and is limping. Today we paid £130 for meds and consultation. Last week we took Cecil to the vet, an elderly cat who has had a bad cat flu flare up and this cost over £300. He has been visiting for almost 10 years but the vet thinks he is lots older. His health check went well considering but he has been prescribed parasite treatment and eye drops for a bad infection. We now need to take Cecil’s friend Bigface aka Cinque to the vets for dental pain and we expect any procedure to cost several hundred. Suspected Calicivirus and Feline Herpes virus is rife in our colonies and this causes issues with soft tissue in the mouth, eyes and nose and really depresses the cats immune systems. Please help to donate towards our vet costs. Thank you!
