Gorgeous Mollie is in kennels waiting for her forever home and she's developed a skin condition that's causing her pain and discomfort.
She's been prescribed steroids, ear cleaning solution and we're doing multiple vet trips to get to the bottom of it - she was initially treated for an eye infection but vet suspects she has a separate skin condition and is exploring if there are any underlying factors. While she's allowed the kennel staff to put drops in her ears, she's not been playing ball at the vets and we're having to fork out for gabapentin to help her feel more at ease each time we go to the vets.
We are a new rescue with very little funds and we are desperate for donations to cover a number of dogs under our care with mounting vet bills.
Mollie is a shar-Pei, around 5 years old, and she is waiting for a calm, loving family. She's had a rough start. Mollie came to us after her owner died and the police asked us to help as she was left in a flat alone. In that home she had to endure domestic violence. We were told she had come from a rescue and had been abused previiously.
Despite her troubled background, kennel staff tell us she's been no trouble at all. She is a little aloof with humans. Shar peis are known to form a deep attachment to one person and she hasn't got her person! She absoloutely loves other dogs and is so keen to play.
