Alongside our shelter where we’ve been able to save many abandoned dogs whilst actively trying to rehome those we can to the UK our Turkish volunteers regularly feed the very many abandoned street dogs with funds raised by our supporters. They come across dogs in a very urgent state of need. These include dogs suffering with mange, dogs with broken limbs, disabled dogs and dogs that have been attacked by other dogs due to being weaker and emaciated or recently dumped and not coping with life on the streets.

As a charity this leads to an agonising few days deciding whether we can afford to treat a particular dog then once the decision has been made once we go back for the dog it has often vanished.

Due to the rising costs of inflation in Turkey and as a charity heavily subsidising the costs encountered with adoption we are in a difficult financial position when it comes to injured strays.

What we are hoping to achieve as a charity is a separate ‘pot’ of money set aside specifically for these desperate dogs so when we are made aware of a dog suffering , at that point we can catch it and get it treated at the vets.

We are only a small charity and rely heavily on donations from people desperate to make a difference for these truly forgotten dogs of Turkey. Any donation will go directly to help ease a dogs suffering. Thank you.
