My name is Patrick, and this Friday, my cat Nicol had a medical emergency and had to be rushed to the vet. The vets did all they could to help her, but her condition got worse and ultimately she passed. I've been left with just over $4000 in vet bills in the wake of all this. Any help in paying this down is greatly appreciated, and will help give me peace of mind as I mourn her.

Nicol was the sweetest cat I have ever known. I took her in as a stray, back in Nashville. She was very skittish at first, but she was the most loving, gentle cat once she warmed up to me and understood she was safe. She was a cuddlebug who loved to hog the dead-center of my bed. She had a raspy little meow that always made me smile. She was a smart cat, too, who understood how to give me space when I needed it, and attention whenever I didn't need space. I'm happy I was able to give her a loving home for as long as I could.

All $4000 will go directly towards paying down the vet bill. In the event that I raise more than that amount, the remainder will be donated to an animal welfare charity, likely Sacramento SPCA, in Nicol's honor.
