Two of our four rescued laboratory rats urgently need veterinary treatment, but we are currently facing severe financial difficulties and cannot afford the approximately €1000 bill.

Hi, Im Ene, me and my partner rescued 4 rats from the laboratory on April 2025. Tofu, Rufus, Rapuncel and Marshmellow. They were 11 months old when they saw a home for the first time, and met us. They didnt know we were their friends at that time, I hope that they do know it by now. These are the most lovely rats in the planet. Unfortunately neither me or my partner have a job atm. We are struggling a lot. But the only thing I want is be able to help my rats. They have respiratory infection, it started last winter (a very common disease). But they handle it well they can have a good life with treatment. The problem is that they do need a good treatment otherwise this condition is deadly. Also, they start growing tumors as they get older and this is very common in domestic rats because of human selfish breeding. They need to get them removed because they are normally not a problem but they keep growing making it difficult for them to be able to walk and have a normal life. Also, they can become cancer. They deserve to have a happy life, medical attention and a happy end of their life too. Specially after what they went through. I hope you think the same and you are able to help.
