You all know the Peterson cats are much loved—and lately, two of them, Toothless and Beatrice, have been giving use a run for our money in the “worrying pet parents” department. Their brother Ari is still perfectly healthy (and just as mischievous as ever), but Toothless and Beatrice have both been dealing with some health challenges.

Between severe kidney issues and worsening thyroid problems, they’ve both needed several vet visits, tests, and new medications. They’re still their sweet, loving selves—Toothless with his quiet purrs, and Beatrice with her bossy little head-bumps—but the bills have already stacked up into the thousands, with more follow-ups to come.
