Hi, my name is Alex. I'm fundraising to help a friend pay for his dog's veterinary care after his dog, a black Labrador called Boot, had a devastating accident.

He ran and was dragged along the road behind a ute for about 2 km, receiving horrific injuries to all 4 legs and his chest.

Unfortunately his owner had a knee replacement days after his accident and will not able to look after him at home for some time.

Boot has been in vet care at Bega Veterinary Hospital for the last 5 weeks.

The vets, nurses and staff have fallen in love with him and bring him treats as well as lying on the floor and giving him cuddles. He's now having days out at our home with twice weekly visits to the vet hospital for bandage changes and review of his progress.

He also has weekly visits to see his own boss.

He will need care for many months with ongoing treatments into the future.
