On September 15, 2022 our dear friend Cynda Henry's 3 year old Miniature Horse mare was brutally attacked by 3 German Shepherds that dug under the property fence and got into her pen. Kizzy received 100 lacerations all over her body and was bleeding profusely when taken by horse trailer to SoCal Equine Hospital in Norco, CA. She was covered in a horse blanket when she was attacked. The blanket was shredded to pieces and probably saved her life per the veterinarian. Kizzy has been receiving care at SoCal Equine Hospital and will continue to do so for the time being. We as horse people know how expensive hospitalization costs are and there isn't anything we won't do for our beloved horses.

One of the dogs is with Animal Control and the other 2 are quarantined at the owner's house per protocol. At first the owner said they would do the responsible thing and would take care of the costs but has since gone silent. This will probably be a legal battle that will be bigger than small claims court.

Funds will be used for Kizzy's hospital care, post-hospital nursing care and legal costs.
