At this point, I honestly do not even know what to say anymore. It feels crazy, but it also shows just how needed we are by all these cats.

Our vet bills for December alone total £18,692.20

We do our absolute best to help those most in need, which sadly means we often rack up huge vet bills. Thankfully, our vets are wonderful and understanding and do everything they can to support us, including giving us generous discounts. Even so, with the number of cats we help and the complex and unusual cases we take on, the bills still add up quickly.

Throughout December we were neutering cats every single week, as well as covering routine vet care for our foster cats such as vaccinations and health checks. We have elderly palliative care cats who require monthly medication for conditions like thyroid disease, along with regular testing.

We also had several major cases, including Freya who required abdominal surgery and whose story I will be sharing soon. Pepsi needed a major repair to a badly broken leg. Meredith required her hip and leg to be pinned after an accident. Wilma needed spinal surgery. On top of this, many cats required scans, faecal samples, diagnostics and ongoing treatment.

So many cats needed help, and because of your support, we were able to step in for them. Without intervention, these cats would have suffered tremendously.

We are now heading into January with vet bills already adding up. We have lots of neuters planned throughout the month, with several cats booked in this week alone. One cat is attending the vet for a dental consultation, another may need a TECA operation, and we have recently taken in a cat with a tail injury that requires vet care. This is why it is so important that we raise funds now, so we can continue helping the cats who need us.

We now need your help to pay these bills. We understand that many people are struggling right now, and please do not feel any pressure to donate. If you can afford £1 and many people get involved, it all adds up and helps reduce the pressure of needing large donations from just a few people.
