This is Baby Blue, she has been wandering my neighborhood for a month. After 4+ hours, 6 hotdogs and Publix de-boned chicken, we were able to crate her and get her to my backyard. She is safe. She was ready to give up and die.

She is in dire need of healthcare - her ears were badly cropped at home, they are very infected. Her whole body is inflamed and scabbed. She is malnourished. We believe she was a backyard breeder and/or a lure to work other dogs into a frenzy before a fight. My foster partner Lisa Presnail is in this with me and helping every step.

At Pet Pal Vet we learned:
73 lbs
About 2 years old
chipped/broken teeth - nothing that needs attention right now
heart worm negative (miracle!)
Frame:
VERY bad hip dysplasia. Vet recommended keep her at her current weight or not more than 75 lbs. No running or jumping - she really wants to play with Ozzie and Yam and she just can't.

Skin: Temperature hot, feverish a bit due to infections. Not mange but flea and insect bites.
Fluid in her intestines from intense parasites and hookworm. Lots of chicken bones fragments in her stomach, she may pass them or they may cause a blockage. Her feet are swollen, so much fluid leaking into her gut.
Heart: it is very enlarged. This is from all the infection and fluid build up. She has a murmur - but it is slight. She will need to see a cardiologist.
Ears: FULL of bugs and gross stuff. Got cleaned and stuffed with a antibiotic gel. Hearing seems ok.
She is on 5 meds right now for at least the next 30 days. She needs to be fed 5 times a day in small increments until her digestive track is healed up.
The Vet said she has not seen a dog this bad in a long time. She needs rest and love.

Today 1-25-21 - I put $700 on my credit for the Vet. As you all might know - I work at a non-profit arts organization. More bills will be coming.
This baby is such a love, so caring. She is a people-dog. She wants a loving, calm home with no other animals. With her heart and hips, she can go on walks, and swim but no high-energy play. She is docile and wants to be close.
I cried so much yesterday thinking I would not be able to save her. But right now she is laying at my feet, sick but wants to live and love.
She will need to be fixed when she is healthy.
Waiting on blood work...
We go back in 2 weeks if she has no major issues with her digestion.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart and every dogs heart for any help you can provide.
