Hello, my name is Brooklyn; and this is my cat Beatrice.

Beatrice was a feral cat who we found living in a local park; she came to me like I was always meant to find her— my childhood cat, my whole world, had been a feral cat with half a tail, and a loss I never really healed from— and then I find this feral cat with NO tail, and she's spent the few years we've had together so far doing so much to make me smile, and keep me going when things are hardest.

This is a cat that comes running for a cuddle whenever I cry, who checks on people when they sneeze, who is so full of love for everyone she meets.

In October of this year, Beatrice was run into the emergency vet— she is a manx, and they notoriously have poop problems, she was, how you say, extremely constipated and in a lot of pain— when there they found with the xrays that she had fairly bad asthma; we were sent home 8 hours later, with steroids to treat her lungs, and about two thousand dollars poorer.

Since, she has had two more vet visits— in December she stopped eating, and became very tired and disinterested in everything. Since October she has lost around 15% of her body weight, my sweet girl is skin and bones.

We're trying to figure out what's wrong with her, but it's quite expensive, her most recent vet bill is around $700, and she has another appointment upcoming on the 9th of this month.

I am disabled and currently have been unemployed for about a year; the cost of her vet visits have accumulated a lot of debt.

All of the money raised will go towards paying off the previous vet bills and paying upcoming vet bills.

Any little bit helps, I just want my little girl to be well, she's my whole heart and still has a lot of years left.
