Hi, my name is Nic or some of you may know me as @blacklotusreptiles_ on Instagram. I am a reptile lover and hobbiest keeper, reptiles have always been my passion.

On April 17th Cyrus came into my care, and unfortunately he is a very sick little lizard and we are seeking any forms of help we can get to save this sweet boy and give him the best possible life we can.

Upon further inspection, Cyrus was in a critical state.

He was completely lethargic

skinny to the point of emaciation

he is blind in his left eye due to some sort of trauma (as pictured)

has so many stuck layers of shed on his tail it has cause parts of his tail to become necrotic and fall off, leaving bone exposed (as pictured)

he is also missing a toe likely due to improper shedding.

If all of that wasn’t enough, Cyrus is unable to eat on his own and must be syringe fed a critical care diet mix twice daily as well as needing daily soaks in electrolyte solutions to try to help him regain energy and help assist with the many layers of stuck shed.

We have a vet appointment scheduled on April 26th to have a fecal analysis done to rule out if he has parasites as well as treat all of his other problems he is now facing. But the bills are already piling high and we are in need of urgent support. Anything you able to donate is so wholeheartedly appreciated, no donation is too small every little bit counts right now.
