My name is Jasmine John. I am a current sophomore at Virginia Tech studying Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise, but looking to switch to marketing. I am also minoring in French studies. I hope to become a gym owner and life coach! Ever since I visited France when I was younger, I knew I just had to go back when I grew up! Now, as a college student studying a minor in French , I have the amazing opportunity to travel back this summer; however, this time will be for my education. After receiving my acceptance letter into the “VT in Paris” program, I knew I had to get started on my preparations. This program features walking tours in Paris, accommodations in the heart of the city, 6 credits for my minor, museum tours, and so much more! The program fees are some what doable(thanks to a scholarship I won) but I want to make sure I can afford my daily expenses while there, as well as have emergency funding. I am currently working two jobs and picking up shifts at a third in order to barely be able to afford my rent I am hoping I can eventually afford this opportunity. On top of this, I am active in many clubs, organizations, and religious groups on campus. On top of those two things, I am taking a full course load of classes. It is often hard to find time to study between 2 jobs, clubs, and basic upkeep of life…
