Vertical Green Freediving Competition

We are fundraising to help run California's first freediving competition, Vertical Green

 

Vertical Green is the first sanctioned US Freediving Federation (USFF) World Confederation of Underwater Activities(CMAS) freediving depth competition in California, USA. The invitational competition will run May 14 - 15 in the deep waters of the Submarine Canyon in Redondo Beach, California. Twenty highly experienced cold water freediving athletes will be selected to compete in the invitational freediving competition. Athletes can compete in two freediving disciplines (Constant Weight No-Fins, Constant Weight Monofin, Constant Weight Bi-Fins, and Free Immersion) and will attempt dives as deep as 65 Meters (214 Feet) water depth on a single breath of air while under the close supervision of qualified safety support dive and medical teams.  

Your financial donation will directly help support the Vertical Green Dive event. The funds from this fundraiser will go to the operational costs associated with running the competition, including but not limited to, competition insurance, equipment (e.g. dive platform, line rigging, anchor system, athlete “pit”), vessel support fees and fuel, medical staff travel fees, administration materials, food and drinks. Any remaining funds after the competition will be fully allocated to the development of future USFF CMAS freediving competitions in California. 

The staff are passionate freediving volunteers who have put in countless hours to see this to fruition.   If you would like to support them and the future of competitions in the US.  Your contribution will be the fuel that will drive future development of the sport of freediving in California and across the USA.
