Veronica Orlene Vallejo , a remarkable woman, known for her caring heart and unwavering love for her daughters, family, friends and animals, particularly her beloved dog, Marley. On December 22, 2023, while out walking Marley, the dog somehow slipped her leash and, in a turn of terrible fate, found herself in the path of an oncoming Amtrak train. With courage and instinct overriding any concern for her own safety, Veronica leapt forward to save her four-legged companion. Her brave intervention ensured Marley’s safety, but tragically, she herself was struck by the train. As we mourn the loss of such an extraordinary soul, a GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover the burial costs.
