Veronica Osorio, age 44, of New City New York passed away on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023, after a lengthy battle with Huntington's Disease. A longtime resident of Rockland County, NY, Veronica was a kind and loving person who supported local kids during soccer practice, loved her cats, and enjoyed caramel frappes. Veronica Osorio leaves behind two beautiful children and a loving husband.

On behalf of Veronica and the Osorio family, I humbly ask that friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues kindly donate to Veronica Osorio's memorial fund. Funds will be used to cover funeral home fees and burial expenses. Medical bills have been costly, and the Osorio family send their heartfelt appreciation to anyone who can assist them during this incredibly stressful time.

Huntington's Disease:

Huntington's Disease (HD) is a neurological condition caused by the inheritance of an altered gene. The death of cells in certain areas of the brain results in a gradual loss of cognitive, physical, and emotional function. It is a complex and severely debilitating disease, and those who suffer from it have been described as having ALS, Parkinson's Disease and Alzheimer's simultaneously. Sadly, there is no cure.

A major difficulty faced is the lack of public awareness of HD and its impact on individuals and their families.
