School Nurse ran into burning home to save animals

On March 10, 2023 Veronica, a school nurse, went home on her lunch break to see her fur babies. Upon arriving home she found the house on fire, the ceiling collapsed in, and her beloved animals caught inside. Veronica, 6 months pregnant, heroically went into the burning home to try to save her 2 cats (Newt and Maggie), and her dog Luna. Despite Veronica’s efforts at resuscitating Newt, Maggie, and Luna, she was unsuccessful and all three perished from smoke inhalation. While we can’t do anything to heal this heartbreak, we are hoping to raise some money to ease the financial pain they are suffering from all the property that they lost.

Veronica is an alumni of Division Avenue High School, Marco is an alumni of MacArthur High School, and Veronica's son Joey is currently a Junior in the Levittown School District.
