Veronica & John are the most caring couple. They give so much of their precious time to help others.

Unfortunately, 2 weeks ago. Penny their 5 year old Collie/Keplie (grey) had to be put to sleep.

Veronica rehomed Penny from a rescue shelter, it quickly became apparent that she had some quirks. The rescue centre did not tell them that Penny can bite!

Veronica & John are not one’s to shy away from a challenge. They desperately tried to rehabilitate Penny, she was doing so well.

Sadly, Penny attacked Veronica’s arm. With Veronica’s heart full of love for Penny, she had to make the hardest decision and have Penny put to sleep.

Penny was only 5yrs old

Rex, who is a Collie and was rescued by Veronica and John had an awful accident!

A week later, Rex was hit by a car. He is 7 years old and has so much life to live.

Veronica rushed him to the Vets where he stayed, it was not clear if he would survive. Rex was rushed to a specialised Veterinary centre for a CT scan.

After lots of assessments , it was decided to amputate one of his front legs.

Rex is now home with Veronica and John and is improving everyday. He is slowly getting used to walking around on 3 legs.

Rex is still recovering and I know that Veronica & John are taking extremely good care of him.

Luckily, insurance for Penny and Rex has covered the majority of the Vet bills but there is still a little more to pay.

I know Veronica and John are proud people but I feel, given all of the heartache they have both recently felt, it would be fantastic if friends and family would consider donating a little to help pay off the final portion of the Vet costs.
