Vernon Thomas Recovery Fund

Donation protected
My name is Joe Thomas.

On Sunday 08-20-23 my father Vernon Thomas was rearended in his truck on his way home after feeding his horses in the early hours of the morning. He was struck by a drunk driver who was traveling in excess of 70 miles per hour on pontoon road and upon hitting my fathers vehicle, his truck rolled over 3 times and ejected him from the vehicle where he laid unconscious until paramedics arrived. It is only by the grace of God that he’s even alive right now.

The drunk driver who struck him fled the scene and appears to have insurance but as of right now we are unsure of the status or if we can even find the individual responsible.

My father would never ask for help or money from strangers or anyone who doesn’t know him, but he will need some sort of financial assistance until short term disability is available.

Currently his vehicle is completely totaled and he will be without work for recovery for the foreseeable future.
I’m simply asking for the community to lend out a helping hand and to bless him beyond measure.

Truly anything helps.

Thank you,
— Joe Thomas
