Verna's Stage 4 Cancer Medication

  

My name is Leah. I’ve set up this page to help my beautiful friend Verna. Verna is a bright, caring, and loving mother of 4 amazing children; Sheena 27, Clyde 25, Charles 21 & Sheree 18.

Verna received the most unexpected news on April 5th, 2021, when she went to her doctor about a persistent cough. After a few trips to the doctors and various tests, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer, despite never having smoked in her life.

Throughout her first Chemotherapy treatments she was still hard at work and would come in every single day with the biggest smile on her face and spread all the love she could throughout the day, she has always been so positive throughout it all!

Heartbreakingly, the Chemotherapy treatments that she was undergoing while still working were not successful. Verna then had to stop working to complete further treatments and has now been told there isn’t much more medically that can be done to shrink her cancer.

She has now been put into palliative care, & I’m creating this GoFundMe to help Verna get access to medication to help elongate her life to spend some more precious months, weeks, days and hours with her family and friends.

The medication that is currently needed to help her is around $3,000 per round and she will need 3 repeats of this medication.

Verna is never one to ask for help so that is why her work friends and I decided to create this on her behalf, we are all TEAM VERNA, and we need your help!

We are rallying together by raising money to try and make her life a little bit easier.

Any monies raised will help pay for medication that she will need so she can live her life without the added stress of financial worries.
