I am 14 years old and I am a pupil at Wolsingham School in County Durham. Each year my school runs an educational visit through the charity Impact Foundation to Nepal.

The main purpose of this trip is to visit The Shubhakamana Acadamy, a private school in an impoverished area of Nepal. Visiting student groups help deliver a teaching programme to all the children at Shubhakamana. With the aim of helping them to improve their English speaking and in turn being positively impacted by the enthusiasm, aspiration and kindness.

This is a very poor area of the country, parents must pay for their childrens' education which is very expensive for them. The Impact Foundation also runs a child scholarship scheme, where people can sponsor pupils and their families to support with education costs.

The school has very limited resources, so part of our fundraising involves buying and taking educational resources over to the school with us, pens, pencils, art materials.

I have been lucky enough to secure a place on this once in a lifetime school trip to Nepal. I have to fund raise part of the costs myself.

So far I have raised over £400 but I have a long way to go.

I am planning a number of fundraising events over the next few months including a sponsored bike ride, as well as our football scratchcards, I will be babysitting...and even hen sitting!
