Verity’s celebration of life

On Friday the 19th of April at 10am this world lost the most treasured little girl, little Tee. The pain I witnessed my friend and her family go through was completely unbearable. Verity was the most vibrant, happy, sassy, little warrior who was as hard as nails she fought so hard right until the very end and she NEVER stopped smiling!

Verity was diagnosed with a brain tumour in September 2022. She went through multiple brain surgery’s , radio therapy (for which general anaesthetic needed to be used everyday), chemo therapy and finally a trial medication, even though none of the above could stand up to how aggressive the cancer was verity still refused to let her spirit be beaten! Whenever anyone asked “you ok tee?”the answer would always be “yeah!” Her doctors were amazed by her strength and resilience as where most would have fallen this beauty refused to go down without a fight!

Verity’s condition deteriorated quite shocking and suddenly, this is when the family had the heartbreaking news that the cancer had spread and her little lungs were also full of this awful disease. Verity had days left. That little girl had been laughing, dancing, playing and continuing with normal life all while this horrid cancer was consuming her body. Yet, even when things got very tough, Tee would still want to be sat up smiling and laughing with all her visitors she was the true definition of a badass!!

There is nothing that can be said, nothing that can be done to even scratch the surface of healing the family’s grief but we can help towards giving verity the celebration of life she deserves! I have set this go fund me page up as I know there are lots of people who want to help in the only way we can.

A beautiful, extremely strong woman said to me “Parents should be able to say goodbye to their children however they want!”
