Vera’s end of life arrangements

With heavy hearts and deepest regrets we announce the passing of Vera Ulrich. Vera lives a very full life with many ups and downs all while being a mother to all boys. She was very stubborn, opinionated and independent up until her last days with us. She took no BS from anyone and overcame any obstacle she came across. Throughout her life, Vera over came addiction, she was sober from alcohol for 4 years , and hardest of all, lived through the loss of 2 of her boys Daniel and Chuckie. These trials she overcame made her stronger, and she was able to overcome them for the love of her boys and grandchildren. Near the end of 2019 Vera began having pains and wasn’t feeling well, she was ultimately diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and so began her year and half long battle. With immense help from her daughter in law, Jenny, and the help of her boys, Vera was taken to weekly doctors appointments, shuttled between Alex and Eric’s homes, but she demanded , without wavering, to go back to her own home! (I told you stubborn up to the very end). Vera fought one hell of a Battle, and that was echoed by her doctors who initially estimated she’d have 6 months from diagnosis. October 2021, Vera began having unbearable pain again, she was taken to Loma Linda where we found out she needed a small procedure done. Reluctantly she agreed. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough, and the decision was to make her comfortable and to bring her home to her boys. Vera was home with us for 4 days and passed early Saturday morning. She is survived by her boys Eric, Alex, Eugene and her grand children Audrina, Izzy, Danika, Daniel, Diana.

Vera’s one wish was to be buried with her son Daniel.
