After battling her coma condition, Vera Howard at the age of 60 passed away at Forestville Rehab Facility at 1:24am Thursday  April 28th 2016. If you would like to donate to help Vera Howard’s family to cover the funeral expenses.  Also portion of the funds received will also be used to support ongoing anoxic brain injury research on behalf of Vera Howard. The Howard Family thanks you for considering our request for donations.

On August 29, 2009, Vera Howard, for reasons unknown, lost consciousness and hit her head on the bathroom sink as she fell to the floor and was rendered unconscious.  Her doctors believe that during the incident she went into cardiac arrest and lost oxygen to the brain while waiting for the ambulance to arrive. At the hospital, she was diagnosed with Anoxic Brain Injury, a severe form of brain injury caused by the loss of oxygen to the brain.
