We are raising funds for a pair of commemorative benches in memory of Vera Targett.

One will be placed in Victoria Park, London — where Vera spent countless mornings and afternoons with her grandson Elio, and where her future grandchildren will one day play after school. A place for them, and for Lisa, to sit and honour Vera’s memory.

The second bench will be installed at Flinders Golf Course, overlooking the ocean view she loved so dearly — a peaceful spot for family & friends in Australia to visit and remember her.

Vera was a kind, generous, and deeply loved wife, mother, and friend. Her warmth, sharp humour, and compassion touched everyone who knew her. She dedicated her life to helping others, always giving without expectation of anything in return.

We hope to create lasting spaces where people can sit, reflect, and feel close to her spirit.

Both locations offer official commemorative bench programs. The total cost is £3,500 ($7,000 AUD), which includes the bench, plaque, installation, and ongoing maintenance to ensure it can be enjoyed for years to come.

Any contribution, big or small, will help us bring this tribute to life. If we raise more than the total amount, any surplus will be donated to one of Vera’s favourite charities.

These benches will be places to pause, smile at happy memories, share stories, and feel Vera’s presence — now and always.
