I'll try to keep this short, lol, but if you know me then you know I can be long winded.
In 2019 I was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease after a double dose of antibiotics and 1 ibuprofen. I was sent to an amazing nephrologist (kidney Doctor) and was able to prolong my kidney function for 3 years. In August of 2023 I started my at-home peritoneal dialysis journey with great results, except for losing my appetite, lol. I've had few issues and feel pretty good.
As of last week, I'm officially listed for a kidney and pancreas transplant at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona and could start receiving calls immediately (woo-hoo!!). I had a previous GoFundMe that raised enough money to get me to Phoenix for 3 days of testing and I cannot thank everyone enough!
I'm also in the final months of being dually listed at Stanford University for both a kidney and pancreas. I have to have a heart test next month and once I pass, I'll be listed.
My caregiver and I will have to stay near the hospital for up to 6 weeks after transplant to make sure everything is working as it should.
Please share this and keep me in your thoughts and prayers! God has gotten me this far and I know He'll carry me through.
