Extreme Makeover Classroom Edition

Brittany Sinitch, a teacher at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, is the winner of August’s Extreme Makeover Classroom Edition, sponsored by Lysol. She is one of the most inspirational, dedicated, and determined teachers in education to date. In February, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School fell victim to a horrifying tragedy that left the students and staff of the school in heartbreak. However, Brittany, her students, and her peers were determined to show that they are unbreakable... and that’s exactly what they did. Through activism, working together as a family, and utter perseverance, the school and its people have risen above the tragedy.

I’ve been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from the teaching community. Many have asked how they can provide further support, so I’ve set up a GoFundMe page where anyone may contribute to helping set Brittany Sinitch’s classroom up for success this coming school year.
