In a world in which fat shaming and weight stigma has become as prevalent as racism, we, at Fat Body Films, believe that the lack of positive representation of fat bodies in film perpetuates harmful weight stigma and fat shaming. In Venus Body, follow fat activist Monica Bliss as she photographs the nude bodies of fat models in the likeness of the famous Venus figurines, proving the rightful existence of fat bodies and calling for the end of fat shaming and weight stigma.
