My name is Leidys Ramirez and my brother Carlos Ramirez. We are from Venezuela and we have been in Toronto Canada for almost 3 years now. This is our mum story:
After almost 3 years of my brother Carlos and I have been away from home, we finally had the happiness of spending Christmas (2017) once again with my mother. Being together again was a blessing, we had a great time thanks to God. By January 10, 2018, my mother had to return to Venezuela. Then my brother and I took her to the airport. Everything was going very well, she checked in and went to the waiting room. Unfortunately while waiting for her flight she had a health problem which caused her to lose her vision for a few minutes followed by a severe headache so it was necessary to rush her to the hospital. Her headache was so strong that she could only cry and say she could not stand it anymore. After several tests the doctors detected that she had suffered a stroke and that an operation was necessary. This would be the second time she suffers a stroke, the first time was 20 years ago when my brothers and I were children. For a moment my mother was convinced that she would not be able to bear all this and that her time to leave this world had come. Panic seized us and we feared the worst. But God always on our side gave her the necessary strength to continue and put her in excellent hands. The doctors did an excellent job. The operation was successful and today we are infinitely grateful to God for this new opportunity as well as the doctors and staff of ST Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Canada.
Today my mom continues her recovery process and with the help of God she will soon be 100% back to health.
Today we also face civil responsibility with the hospital to pay the bills for the services provided during the hospitalization of my mother. And unfortunately the medical insurance of my mum has countless conditions and many are unfulfilled leaving her without coverage. Now we have this difficult situation and we come to you for your help. We are immensely grateful for all the help you can give us and any collaboration however small it may seem will be of great help to us. Thank you and God bless you ... !!! Mi nombre es Leidys Ramirez y mi hermano Carlos Ramirez, somos de venezuela y ya tenemos cerca de tres años en Toronto Canada, por motivos de estudios. Esta es la historia de nuestra madre:
Después de casi 3 anos de que mi hermano Carlos y yo hemos estado lejos de casa, por fin tuvimos la dicha de pasar navidades (2017) una vez mas con mi mama. Estar juntos nuevamente fue una bendición, la pasamos muy bien gracias a dios. Ya para el 10 de Enero de 2018 mi mama tenia que volver a Venezuela. Entoces mi hermano y yo la llevamos al aeropuerto. Todo marchaba muy bien, ella hizo el check-in y paso a sala de espera. Lamentablemente mientras esperaba su vuelo tuvo un problema de salud el cual le hizo perder la visión por pocos minutos seguido de un fuerte dolor de cabeza asi que fue necesario trasladarla de emergencia al hospital. Su dolor de cabeza era tan fuerte que ella solo podía llorar y decir que no soportaba mas. Después de varias pruebas los doctores detectaron que que había sufrido un derrame cerebral y que era necesario una operación. Ya esta seria la segunda vez que sufre un derrame cerebral siendo la primera vez hace 20 anos cuando mis hermanos y yo eramos unos niños. Por un momento mi mama estaba convencida que no seria capaz de soporta todo esto y que había llegado su momento de partir de este mundo. El miedo se apodero de nosotros y temimos lo peor. Pero dios siempre de nuestro lado le dio las fuerzas necesarias para continuar y la puso en excelentes manos. Los doctores hicieron un excelente trabajo. La operación fue exitosa y hoy estamos infinitamente agradecidos con dios por esta nueva oportunidad al igual que con los doctores y todo el personal de ST Michael’s Hospital en Toronto, Canada.
Hoy en dia mi mama continua su proceso de recuperación y con la ayuda de dios pronto estará 100% recuperada.
Hoy también enfrentamos la responsabilidad civil con el hospital de pagar las facturas por los servicios brindados durante la hospitalización de mi mama. Y lamentablemente el seguro medico de mama tiene un sinnúmero de condiciones y mucha no se cumplen dejándola sin cobertura. Ahora tenemos esta difícil situación y acudimos a ustedes por su ayudar. Estamos inmensamente agradecido por toda la ayuda que puedas brindarnos y cualquier colaboran por pequeña que parezca será de gran ayuda para nosotros. Muchas Gracias y que dios les bendiga…!!!
