What a year! Our softball teams in both the 10 and under and 12 and under division have already won their league championships. In the District tournament 12U was the District Runner Up while 10U won their District championship. What a year indeed!

This past weekend, both teams played in the Southern NJ State tournament. After a long weekend in tough conditions, our 10U Ventnor beauties won their bracket, and securedthe title of Southern New Jersey State Runner Up. This honor includes an invitation to the Mid Atlantic Regional Tournament!

Now comes the hard part. The Mid Atlantic Regional tournament is a “stay to play” tournament, meaning each team will have to pay for accommodations and meals for a four (4) day tournament in Pennsylvania. While an exciting opportunity, if we do not raise the monies needed to off set our travel expenses, we will be forced to withdraw our team from the tournament. With all the girls have accomplished, this would be a sad end to what could be a memorable season. 

Thanks to the support of some local businesses, and those who participated in our coin drop, we have already raised 15% toward our goal. While we have a long way to go, we are confident we can reach our goal with the help and support of our family, friends, and community members. 

Our #VentnorStrong girls have worked very hard this year and hope to continue their journey and participate in the Babe Ruth Mid Atlantic Regional Tournament. Your support can make this dream a reality!
