Venezuelan students’ fearless fight

Have you ever been presented with the challenge of building something without all the pieces necessary – and then testing out your invention in some of the most rugged terrains? This might seem extremely intimidating of a task for many, but a group of college students that belong to the BAJA SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) in Caracas, Venezuela do not shrink an inch when presented with such a feat.

This group of students also maintain their dream of graduating and their likelihood of fulfilling that goal hinges on their ability to attend an extracurricular program, in this case, the BAJA SAE program at their school, the University of Simon Bolivar (USB). Since 2018, Venezuela’s Voice In Oregon has believed in the potential and skill of this select group of college students and plans on continuing their support through this year. Your donation will directly support the student's ability to pay for registration fees at the national and international competitions and build their All Wheel Drive prototype.

¿Alguna vez se le ha presentado el desafío de construir algo sin todas las piezas necesarias y luego probar su invento en algunos de los terrenos más escabrosos? Esto puede parecer una tarea extremadamente intimidante para muchos, pero un grupo de estudiantes universitarios que pertenecen a la BAJA SAE (Sociedad de Ingenieros Automotrices) en Caracas, Venezuela, no retroceden ni un centímetro cuando se les presenta tal hazaña.

Este grupo de estudiantes también mantiene su sueño de graduarse. Su probabilidad de cumplir esa meta depende de su capacidad para asistir a un programa extracurricular, en este caso, el programa BAJA SAE en su escuela, la Universidad Simón Bolívar (USB). Desde 2018, Venezuela’s Voice In Oregon ha creído en el potencial y la habilidad de este grupo selecto de estudiantes universitarios, y planea continuar su apoyo durante este año. Su donación apoyará directamente la capacidad del estudiante para pagar las cuotas de inscripción en las competencias nacionales e internacionales y construir su prototipo AWD (All Wheel Drive).
