Venezuelan pianist is raising funds for college

Donation protected

Venezuelan music student, Arnaldo Cogorno came to England in pursuit of a life that had
been denied him in Venezuela.

He arrived in London a year ago, escaping a country in a crisis. Unable to study anywhere in
Venezuela, his aunt Gabriela, who had lived in London for the last 25 years, offered him a
place to stay. On arrival, he discovered the World Heart Beat Music Academy. Once he had
introduced himself and told them his story, they welcomed him in and offered a full
scholarship.

He was given piano lessons with composer and pianist Michael Csányi-Wills, and
encouraged to participate in every aspect of the school, including mentoring younger
musicians, and involving himself in every aspect of what they had to offer.

After studying piano at World Heart Beat Music Academy with Michael Csányi-Wills, he was
awarded a scholarship to the Trinity Laban Conservatoire. Initially elated with their offer,
Arnaldo was disappointed to find out that it only covered £4,000 of the £9,250 annual fees.

Despite this fantastic achievement, his family are unfortunately unable to pay the fees for his
studies at Trinity. We are therefore looking to raise £5,250 to help Arnaldo.

“World Heart Beat gave me an incredible opportunity, even though I wasn’t able to pay for it,
and it is now my turn to show them that their help has changed my life.”  Arnaldo Cogorno

Please, do share with friends and family and leave any possible donations. Arnaldo will be
hugely grateful!
