On July 24, 2026, Venezuela was struck by two devastating earthquakes seconds apart. Within minutes, hundreds of buildings and houses collapsed. Entire neighborhoods were swallowed by rubble. As of today, an estimated 30,000 people are still missing - many of them still buried, waiting for rescue teams to reach them. An estimated 200,000 people will have nowhere to go. Families are sleeping in the streets, in makeshift shelters, or wherever they can find safety. Hospitals are overwhelmed. Children have arrived at medical facilities disoriented, alone and separated from their families, with no way to find them. Pets and animals have been displaced as well: some injured, others frightened and scattered across the city, waiting to be reunited with the people who love them.

Venezuela has endured more than thirty years of hardship, economic collapse, political instability, and humanitarian crisis after crisis. Resources are scarce. Infrastructure was already fragile before the ground shook. This earthquake has fallen on a country with very little left to absorb the blow. What is happening right now is an immeasurable tragedy for a people who have already suffered so much for so long.

Every dollar raised through this campaign is split equally among three organizations that are already on the ground in Venezuela right now: World Central Kitchen, Hogar Bambi, and Planeta Animal Rescue. World Central Kitchen's teams are cooking and distributing warm meals to rescue workers, survivors, and families in temporary shelters and on the streets. A warm meal has the power to restore dignity. Hogar Bambi has spent decades as one of Venezuela's most trusted havens for vulnerable children. Hogar Bambi is working to receive children, provide them with safe housing, food, emotional support, and the patient, careful work of locating their families and bringing them home. Planeta Animal Rescue is setting up rescue operations to find displaced pets and help reunite animals with their families.

Let Venezuela know the world has not forgotten them! Please help us reach the people, children, and animals who need us most after this horrible, unspeakable tragedy.
