Donate in memory of Veneta Novakovich Leonard

It is with a broken heart that I am compelled to organize this fundraiser on behalf of my late sister's family. My incredible sister, Veneta Novakovich Leonard left this life on February 24, 2024. She is now at rest in her eternal home.

There are no words to express the loss felt by her husband, her fourteen children, our extended family or her friends. It is only the love she gave so freely that will serve to sustain us all.

To those lucky enough to have known my sister, you were undoubtedly familiar with her over 7-year battle with colon cancer. During those difficult years she never asked "why me", in fact her words were "why not me"? She trusted in God's plan, she never complained about the cross she bore. She fought for every day, not for herself, but for her children. She lived for them and she will live on in each of them.

As she neared the end of her battle Veneta's only concern was her family, she knew her leaving would be difficult for them, both emotionally and financially. It was never her wish to burden her husband.

Having just made tentative funeral arrangements, which we all know is shockingly expensive, this is no doubt her family will need help. They will need help with the funeral expenses and going forward with day-to-day expenses providing for the children, (two of the eleven still at home are type1 diabetics), and childcare.
