Unfortunately, Velo Rouge just recently lost Jose, a cornerstone of our community and chef at the cafe for many years. He made many people food, always with love and he held a contagious positive energy for life. He was a very impactful person to the people he encountered and his legacy lives on with his wife and two young children, one of whom has cancer and who Jose worked very hard to help. Because of this enormous amount of stress, it ended up catching up to him and as a result, his family has had to go back to Honduras. We ask for anyone who can, to help us raise money for his family and help his son so he can get the help he needs.  Jose made many people happy while here and now is our opportunity to give back to his family in this tragic time. We appreciate all of your support and value the people that make up this lovely community. With heavy hearts, we hope to raise as much money as we can to help his family and make this extremely tragic loss just a little easier.
