Velo Promo's continuing racing programs

Velo Promo has been conducting bicycle racing events in Northern California since 1978, over the years including National Prestige Classics, Stage races, National Cyclocross Championships, and more than 1,100 days of racing.

Last year, and in years past, supporters of Velo Promo participated in a GoFundMe fundraiser, enabling us to get to the end of the season without going further into debt..

Normally, our early season programs (Early Birds, Snelling, Merced, Wards Ferry, Copper Valley and others) provide a cash cushion to assist in paying back past debts and doing future planning, but last year (and partially this year) those events were greatly curtailed or canceled, mostly by inclement weather, and early season income was at a 20-year low. Little or nothing was available to pay back looming CHP bills and pandemic EIDL loans.

We'd like to continue to offer our upcoming races, the CalCup series in August and September, but we need your assistance.

This GoFundMe campaign will help, but we also need volunteer help (every club should be involved with at least one race, - ours or another), sponsors (and Hustle Brands has been doing an admirable job here), and more.

The costs of events are continuing to rise dramatically, and we'd like to keep entry fees down for rider accessibility, so we are appealing to you, once again, to support our races. Do what you can, please.
