Everyone who met Silverio "Bello" Velazquez remembers him as a great man. He loved music, his guitars, his Chivas del Guadalajara, and his family above all things. He was an unconditional support for his family, always having words of encouragement and guidance for any circumstance. He loved shooting hoops and kicking the ball around with his grandchildren. He lived and breathed for his wife Juanita, ensuring that her every need was met and he did it with so much love. They enjoyed spending their days in Lake Tahoe, where they met. He was the epitome of cheer and kindness. He lit up the stage when performing with his children, and he lit up the lives all who had the privilege of meeting him. His greatness is truly immeasurable.
On November 27, 2020, Silverio unexpectedly left this physical world at age 61 after a long battle against COVID, and has transcended to the glory of the Lord. He is survived by his wife Juanita, and his children Hector, James, Esmeralda, and Johnny. His extended family is composed of grandchildren, siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss him dearly. His memory lives on in our hearts and we believe he will continue to guide and accompany us. In the whisper of a breeze, in the crash of a wave off the shores of Lake Tahoe, and in the strumming of a guitar, he will be there until we meet again in God's kingdom.
As many of you know, his wife has severe medical needs and is disabled. Furthermore, Hector is hospitalized and in critical condition. These circumstances have brought great financial strain upon the Velazquez family and we are asking for your support to help with the overwhelming medical and funeral expenses.
