Velasco's Restaurant- Sanger, CA

As many of you've seen, a popular landmark, Velasco's Restaurant in Sanger, CA caught fire on 6/21/22. Velascos is a family-owned restaurant that has been around for almost two decades and is a popular spot for many families to enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Previously owned by Alberto Velasco, the father of Matt Velasco, is the man responsible for bringing the restaurant to Sanger. Matt has always worked in the family business since the young age of 12. After the passing of his father in 2019, Matt prioritized the restaurant and took full responsibility for keeping his father's legacy alive by doing what he loved. Matt loves his family, friends, and most of all, serving his community. He works hard, is dedicated, and takes pride in his restaurant. Many of us know him as someone who is the first to give, to hold a great conversation, continuously come out from cooking in the back to check on the well-being of customers, and someone who brings smiles to everyone he counters-with the incredible food he cooks. Velasco's restaurant is a place that not only serves some of the best Mexican food but a place that has always welcomed new and returning faces....always! To help with unforeseen expenses ahead for Matt and his family, I have created this page for anyone willing to help. It's going to be a tough road ahead, and this would be one thing we can contribute to show just how much they mean to us as the family did so graciously for others. No amount is too little, and anything is appreciated.
