I’m an army veteran who served over a 19 year period as a combat medic 68Whiskey and a medical supply sergeant 76Juliet.
Throughout my time in service, I developed a bilateral foot condition, which is a combination of flatfoot syndrome and neuropathy which limits my ability to stand or walk.
I filed for military disability after being honorably discharged from service, but I was denied on two occasions for not having proper paperwork done on my feet while in service.
My current status is as follows. I recently completed what is known as a board hearing in front of a military law judge who alone will decide approval or denial.
I’ve been living at poverty level for probably the last three or four years now. I have a place to stay, which I am grateful for but I don’t have a vehicle for shopping, errands, medical appointments, etc..
